Mission Statement

Celebration Players operates in the public interest as an arts
provider to the Town of Celebration and the surrounding community.
As the Original Community Theatre of Celebration our goal is to provide opportunities for
Central Florida residents to
participate in quality community theatre. We continue to provided
the town of Celebration and the surrounding community a variety of live theatrical events,
and will
continue to offer high quality productions of comedy, drama, musicals,
and children’s theatre, and we thank you for your support and
patronage. As a 501c3 (non-profit) entity, we are always eager to
accept your fully tax deductible donations to keep our organization
alive.
Now in our 11th SEASON, we are proud of our
accomplishments, but we will not sit back and rest. We will continue
to push the boundaries of what were our humble beginnings, to expand
our audience, our staff, our artistic vision, and the quality of our
productions.
We willsoon set the 2008 - 2009 Celebration Player’s
Season. Please check out the “Productions”
page for a complete list COMING SOON. We are
finalizing plans for some workshops for both children and adults as
well as acting and vocal classes. Celebration Players has made
significant strides since its inception and will continue to raise the
bar. Our business goal is to become one of the premiere Community
Theatre's in all of Central Florida. The Randy Johnson Center for the
Performing Arts at the Celebration High School is a wonderful venue for the
talent that we have to showcase.
We will utilize this space for all of our upcoming
productions, and continue to partner with the Celebration High School
theatre Department and Administration to assist the students in
bringing quality productions to the stage.
In
2003 Celebration Players assisted Representative Randy Johnson along
with Osceola Center for the Arts in obtaining a $500K grant for the
Celebration High School Performing Arts Theatre to make it a state of the art performing arts
theatre. With school budgets being limited as they are, we have
committed to maintain the standards in this theatre as best we can and
we will look for opportunities to purchase and donate, as well as
repair, equipment that will keep the theatre in good working condition
for the students of Celebration High School's performing arts
programs. We have recently, with the approval of the school
administration, purchased lighting and microphone replacements and
donated them to the theatre department.
We continue to be very ambitious with our productions, stretching our
resources to the limit in order to bring quality community theatre to
Celebration.
We want to continue to offer opportunities to children of all ages,
from 7 to 107. We are proud to count among our number talented
individuals who have among other things, performed with Broadway
touring companies, performed at Carnegie Hall, performed off-Broadway,
on world class Cruise Lines, at our local world class theme parks, and other community theatres.
So if you would like
to be a part of the BEST community theatre in the area
we are looking for your support, and will take it in any form you can
give it. Whether it’s financial support through donations or program
ads, or involvement of a more personal nature as an artist for set
design, seamstresses for costumes, singer, dancer, or musician. We are
in need of a little elbow grease for set building and always need
assistance back stage.
We need
contributions from individuals and businesses, and we will continue to
seek grants from foundations. With
your participation and support we can do so much more.
Please consider PLAYING A ROLE as we grow YOUR community theatre. Come and
participate! We are waiting to hear from you!
