ABOUT THE CAST

Jacquelyn Cody (Corie Bratter) - Jacquelyn is pleased to make her Orlando area non-Disney stage debut with Barefoot in the Park. Some of her favorite previous roles include Shelby in Steel Magnolias (Howmet Playhouse), Cherie in Bus Stop (Nutley Little Theater) and her signature role, Denise Sanders in many productions of  Smoke on the Mountain and A Saunders Family Christmas.

Joe Itiarte (Telephone repair man) - Celebration resident, father of two, and math teacher at Celebration High School, Joe’s takes the stage for the attention. Joes Celebration Players debut was as Lewis Morris in 1776.  Other prior productions include The Mouse That Roared, A Man for all Seasons, Harvey and A Christmas Carol.  Joe is also a writer, having written several short stories and a novel. Any publishers in the audience?

Roger Hotz (Delivery Man) - No stranger to Celebration Players audiences, Roger has been involved with theater for 6 years.  He has played roles from Shakespeare to modern comedy. Being on stage is challenging and exciting for Roger, who especially enjoys working with his fellow actors.  He most recently portrayed Henry Saunders for the Celebration Players production Lend me a Tenor.

Scott Machado (Paul Bratter) -  Scott is pleased to bring Paul Bratter to the stage in this his debut with Celebration Players. Scott is a founding member of the improvisational theatre company Naked Onstage, and has performed in productions both here and in California. His acting credits include the Odd Couple,The Happy Hargroves Holiday Humbug, and Harry Houdini in The Grave cannot Hold Houdini. Pauls musical roles include two runs as Riff Raff in The Rocky Horror Show. Scott would like to thank his family for their love and support, and would like to dedicate this performance to his mother, who finally came to visit. Remember, the next time you are in the jungle, ask for Scott.

Linda Shepherd (Ethel Banks) -  Linda has been involved in theatre for 30 years. From acting, singing and dancing, to directing, stage- managing, writing, and as a board member, Linda can do it all. Linda did most of her stage work in Michigan (over 40 productions, directing 15). She has been involved with Celebration Players since her move to Florida in 1997, performing in Comedy Tonight, Ten Little Indians, The Odd Couple, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and How to succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and directing Steel Magnolias, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Squabbles and Lend Me a Tenor. Her Sons Krystof and Devon grew up watching Mom on stage or performing themselves. Linda would like to send special thanks to her entire family especially her sister-in-law Jamie.

T.J. WOLLARD (Victor Velasco) - T.J. is no stranger to Celebration Players having performed on stage and in the Pit Orchestra. In addition to performing, T.J. is a playwright. Celebration Players has recently performed two of his works as part of their Play Reading Series.

DALE MARACH (Director)-   Previously, Dale directed Lend Me A Tenor for Celebration Players and was John Hancock in last summer’s production of 1776.  Originally from Chicago, he has directed The 1940’s Radio Hour and Larry Shue’s The Nerd.  Performing credits include Play It Again, Sam, Fiddler On The Roof, My Three Angels, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and The Good Doctor. He has stage managed such shows as the 3 Neil Simon ‘B.B.’ plays, Brighton Beach Memoirs, Biloxi Blues, and Broadway Bound , Pippin, Charley’s Aunt, and Murder On The Nile.

JULIE VARGAS (Stage Manager) -  Julie has been involved in numerous stage productions including Guys & Dolls, Oklahoma, A Midsummer Nights Dream and most recently  Lend me a Tenor. This is her second show with the Celebration Players and her Stage Managing debut.  Julie would like to thank whoever thought she was too ugly to be on stage.
